Welder / Fabricator
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Location: Strood, Kent
Job Description:
To assist the Production Manager and team in their day to day duties. Masterhitch are manufacturers of excavation equipment in the plant hire industry, manufacturing buckets and hitches and bespoke attachments and accessories for excavator machinery.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate should be proficient in MIG welding steel plate thickness of 3mm up to 70mm, and other steel sections to fabricate buckets and hitches and bespoke attachments. The successful candidate will also be required to use a wide range of workshop equipment, bandsaws – oxy fuel gas cutting – grinders and also mechanical rollers for rolling plate although this would be occasional.
Skills/Qualifications:
● Knowledge and experience of the MIG welding & Fabrication process
● Ability to use variety of tools, equipment and machinery
● Ability to read drawings and recognize specifications (CAD)
● Workshop Machine maintenance and good housekeeping
● Mechanical Knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
● Knowledge of industry safety practices and Health & Safety
